Jayur House Receives the Queensland Child Protection Award

30/08/2024

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that our Jayur House Program, part of Children, Youth & Family Services in Cairns, has been honoured with the Queensland Child Protection Award for a Regional Program. This prestigious award, presented by QFCC Principal Commissioner Luke Twyford, shines a spotlight on the incredible impact our team makes every day.

A Celebration of Impact

At a special ceremony held at Parliament House, we accepted this award on behalf of our dedicated residential care workers across Queensland. This recognition is more than an accolade—it’s a celebration of the life-changing work that helps young people build resilience, develop essential life skills, and work towards a brighter future.

Honouring Our Team

A huge shoutout goes to our Jayur House Case Manager Tracey, General Manager Nerissa, COO Andrea, and the entire Jayur House team. Your commitment to child protection is truly inspiring and makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. This award is dedicated to every residential care worker who dedicates themselves to making a positive impact.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone during Queensland Child Protection Week 2024, we remain committed to our mission of supporting and protecting the children and young people of Queensland. Here’s to continuing our journey—onward and upward!
